How Carrier Billing Works
ACS CloudVoice is built on a dedicated enterprise cloud carrier platform that handles all call routing, number management, and telephony infrastructure. This carrier service is billed separately on a pay-per-usage basis — meaning you only pay for what you actually use. There are no hidden markups or bundled carrier fees in your CloudVoice plan.
Usage charges cover items like outbound calling minutes beyond your plan, international calls, toll-free number usage, and additional DID numbers. Your carrier usage invoice comes directly from the platform provider, keeping billing transparent and costs predictable.
This separation ensures you always know exactly what you're paying for — your CloudVoice service plan through ACS, and your actual telecom usage billed directly at carrier rates.
Can I keep my existing phone numbers?
Yes. We handle full number porting at no additional charge. Your existing business numbers transfer seamlessly to CloudVoice so your customers never notice a change. The porting process typically takes 1–2 weeks.
What's the difference between Core, Advanced, and Ultra?
Core ($20–$30/ext) covers essential calling, voicemail, auto-attendant, ring groups, and digital fax. Advanced ($25–$35/ext) adds CRM integration, call recording, AI voicemail transcription, AI call summaries, video conferencing for 100, WhatsApp & Facebook messaging, and call coaching tools. Ultra ($35–$45/ext) includes AI receptionist, AI personal assistant, skill-based routing, Teams integration, 250-person video, multi-site management, and high-availability failover.
Is there a minimum number of extensions?
Yes, CloudVoice requires a minimum of 5 extensions. This ensures we can deliver the full-service experience including setup, AI feature configuration, training, and ongoing support that makes CloudVoice different from self-service VoIP platforms.
How does CloudVoice compare to Comcast Business Voice?
CloudVoice typically saves businesses 40–60% compared to Comcast Business phone lines. Plus, you get enterprise features like CRM integration, AI voicemail transcription, call recording, video meetings, WhatsApp messaging, and AI-powered call analytics that Comcast charges extra for or doesn't offer at all.
What AI features are included?
Advanced plans include AI voicemail transcription, AI call summaries, and AI sentiment analysis. Ultra plans add AI receptionist (answers and routes calls automatically), AI boss-secretary (screens calls for executives), AI personal assistant, and full call transcription with speaker identification. All AI features are cloud-powered with no additional hardware required.
What about the carrier usage charges?
Your CloudVoice plan covers your core phone system and features. The underlying carrier platform bills separately on a pay-per-usage basis for telecom usage like additional calling minutes and toll-free numbers. This keeps pricing transparent with no hidden fees.
Do I need special hardware or internet?
CloudVoice works with your existing internet connection and most modern SIP desk phones. You can also use the desktop app (Windows), web client (any browser), and mobile apps (iOS/Android) on any device. We assess your network during the audit to ensure call quality is excellent.
Can CloudVoice integrate with Microsoft Teams?
Yes. The Ultra plan includes Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, which lets your team make and receive CloudVoice calls directly inside the Teams interface. The Advanced plan includes full Microsoft 365 integration for calendar, contacts, and presence sync.
How long does setup take?
Most businesses are fully migrated within 2–3 weeks, including number porting, system configuration, AI feature setup, and team training. We run your old and new systems in parallel so there's zero downtime during the transition.
What happens if I need to scale up or down?
Adding extensions is simple and can be done anytime. You can also upgrade between tiers as your needs grow — for example, moving from Core to Advanced when you need CRM integration or AI features. Our team handles all configuration changes so you can focus on running your business.

SIP trunking is billed separately on a usage basis directly through your dedicated carrier. This keeps your service costs transparent — you pay only for the telecom usage you actually need. ACS will assist with setup and configuration at no additional charge.
